Margaret Gallo Ciancetta
Margaret Gallo Ciancetta, of Pearse Road, Schenectady, died peacefully, on Wednesday evening at Ellis Hospital, with her family at her side.
She was born in Schenctady and was a lifelong area resident. Margaret was a homemaker and did work as an assembler at General Electric during World War II. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where she was a volunteer for more than 20 years. Margaret was fond of traveling and camping in the Northeast area, and enjoyed Sunday rides and family gatherings.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Consul Ciancetta; three beloved sons, Thomas Ciancetta and his wife, Patricia Clausi, of Glenville, David and his wife Debra Ciancetta, of Glenville, and Paul Ciancetta of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Setta and her husband, Charles Barkowski, of Niskayuna; a brother, Pasquale and his wife, Slyvia Gallo, of Vista, CA; a stepsister, Marie Atkinson of Muriell Inlet, NC; five cherished grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Maria, Christopher and Ashley Ciancetta; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from DeLegge Funeral Home, 1346 Chrisler Ave. follwaed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Calling hopurs will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at DeLegge Funeral Home.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
