Patsy Gallo, Jr.
On Tuesday, August 21, 2001, Patsy "Pat" Gallo, Jr., who was a hairdresser and owner of Creative Coiffeurs for 25 years, died at Albany Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gallo, of Augustine Ave., was 62.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. Gallo was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of the former Mont Pleasant High School and attended Niagara University. He also worked in the Schenectady assessor's office for a short time. Mr. Gallo was a part-time real estate agent for many years with Prudential Manor Homes.
Mr. Gallo served in the Army's 1st Infantry Brigade. Mr. Gallo was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Capovani of Scotia; a son, Anthony Gallo of Rotterdam; his mother, Susie Gallo of Schenectady; a brother, Anthony Gallo of Lexington, Ky; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 8:15 a.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., and at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours are 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
