Philip S. Pecora

Philip S. Pecora, 73, of Schenectady, New York, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, with his family by his side in Saratoga Springs, New York. Philip was born in Schenectady to Sylvester and Marguerite Pecora on July 6, 1941. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1959. He then joined the United States Army and served in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a licensed barber and worked most of his life in the automobile industry. He was awarded Honorary Kentucky Colonel and was involved in the IDAKA club of Schenectady. Philip was an avid sports fan and had a love for gaming. Philip will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gregory (Nicole) Pecora and Gabrielle Pecora (Vincent Capasso) and their mother, Sherry Pecora. Philip will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Elaine (Norman) Sevits of Loudonville; his five grandchildren; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 29 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in memory of Philip beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
